Which ETF fund should I invest?

I want to sell my facebook stocks and diversify by investing in an ETF fund. Any tips or recommendations on how to do so or which fund to invest into?

Why VTI?

VTI is a diversified ETF holding Total US Stock Market. If youโ€™d rather have a total world, check out VT

If you are new at investing, I would suggest you try Betterment. It has a higher fee than investing in index funds but you donโ€™t have to worry about managing and balancing the funds yourself

Depends what you want to invest in and how much. Here are some I'm invested in: VTSAX - Vanguard Total Stock Market Index Fund Admiral Shares. These track the US stock market an have a very low expense ratio. VTIAX - Vanguard Total International Stock Market Admiral Shares. These track international stock markets with a low expense ratio. VOO - Vanguard S&P 500 ETF. These track the US stock market through the S&P index with a low expense ratio. IEFA - iShares Core MSCI. Tracks international markets with a low expense ratio. EWY - iShares MSCI South Korea. Tracks the South Korean market with a low expense ratio. AIA - iShares Asia 50 ETF. Tracks Asian companies with a low expense ratio. VWO - Vanguard FTSE Emerging Markets. Tracks emerging markets with a low expense ratio. If you get anything from on that list though, pick things with a low expense ratio. Otherwise, you will be losing out on potential profit.

Thanks a lot ! Do I have to manage/balance these funds ? Or I can buy something like VOO and forget for many years ?

I don't agree that S&P 500 is enough diversification. It's just stocks. It's just US stocks. It's just large US stocks. You need bonds too (unless you're super young), international stocks ( developed and emerging), small US stocks, REITs (maybe), commodities (maybe).

I agree in general, but I'm not that sure about bonds ETFs. Interest rate is still low and rising. This means low to negative return. One should catch a moment when rate stop rise or select individual bonds/target fund and wait till maturity.

By bonds, I'm talking about diversified bonds... international and corporate as well.
