I immigrated to the US 6 years ago from an Asia country, mostly living in the coastal Westcoast. I want to learn more about the culture of the South of the US. Which city should I visit? My goal is to gain understanding about the way of life of the people living there. It could be a week or two for the vacation. Thanks!
New Orleans
Or just don't learn more about the south. That's a good option.
Loving guns has nothing to with shooting a random person. Don’t be a d*ck and you should be fine.
Do you have a gf from that region ?
No. Just want to explore different cultures. Modern life in the Bay is monotonous. I heard life is more rural areas of the US is very family-oriented and chill.
But really, that's not what southern culture is about for the most part. I spent some of my childhood in Georgia. It's a lot of "small town" charm, but with more racism and meth. And a lot of people I grew up with hated Asians. If you're looking for family-oriented and chill, you're maybe a little better off looking at the west/midwest rural/suburbs. But as someone else suggested, I have heard similar positive things about the rural northeast.
Have you checked out the east coast? West coast tends to be more americanized, settled immigrants while east coast is new immigrants
🐮💩
Cow shit? Cow shit is the south, yall
Start in Atlanta and do a road trip from there to Houston, stopping in Alabama, Mississippi, and New Orleans.
Not Houston, really not Texas at all, New Orleans is interesting, but the road trip across the south idea above is an interesting choice
Lol. They have no culture. Bunch of rednecks carrying guns
What makes you think they want you to visit?
“No culture” “Rednecks carrying guns”
Savannah, GA
Thanks!
