Which groups take care of junior bankers?

Is there any generalization about which groups in general take care of junior employees? Or does this depend on company? Is it better to be in a competitive group for a better learning experience?

Goldman Sachs fires "the bottom" 15% of its analysts every year, who all work 80+ hour weeks. They definitely "take care of junior bankers."

      Thanks, HR.

I've read that this is true of Goldman's investment banking analysts, not necessarily of other positions. Care to elaborate on the Goldman IB analyst forced attrition policy?

I used to work at GS. The analysts are on a 2 year program. Most leave for graduate school.

The more prestigious the bank / subgroup, the better.
