Don’t know the business side of tech too well. If you can also post numbers and explanations in comment section, I’d appreciate it as well. Just as a heads up, I am curious about these types of roles as it relates to only tech (ie. private equity firms that invest heavily in and focus on tech).
Director at Albertsons
Specifically Director of Cloud Retail Customer Experience
managers at in and out make quite a bit
BitCoin
Director at FANG for what? I think there's probably a big difference between engineering and business development...
Just google heidrick and struggles private equity compensation report and you'll get all the color. Entry level (2 yoe) at established PE funds pay $300k cash. Partners (about 10 yoe) are around $1m cash and $4m in stock per year.
Whatever flavor of finance is in vogue is usually the surest way to high comp. Last decade that's been PE, previous decade was prop trading. Hedge funds are probably going to make a comeback.
I tend to think of hf as feast or famine and much more tied to performance in the markets (rising tides). PE is also somewhat tied to public market performance but far more insulated. HFs can disappear in a matter of months (easily Google able for the flameouts) but in PE the cycles are longer. But a bit more upfront work in fundraising and track record building.
CEO
Private Equity pays the most. Period!
Agreed. Anyone thinking otherwise is out of touch
Do you have any numbers (base + bonus) that PE folks earn?
