Why LinkedIn stopped hiring

They significantly reduced job postings. In most departments, they're only hiring Senior Staff engineers and up. I talked to multiple recruiters and they confirmed there's no headcount for seniors in some orgs.

I guess this is because they're profitable and the culture is great. Attrition is low and they don't anticipate significant growth? Any thoughts?

I passed the HC in data infra and no headcount. Very unlucky with timing. They told they can take me within a year with no additional interviews. Fingers crossed.

MSFT stock has more than doubled since the acquisition. With good compensation and WLB, attrition is at an all time low.

They started posting job listings, yes. Nothing in the department that I interviewed for though.

ADP (HR company) said hiring in May shrinked to like 40k while the expectation was like 200k. https://www.google.com/amp/s/finance.yahoo.com/amphtml/news/adp-national-employment-report-may-2019-123123509.html
