What do you want to say? Drink what?
Drink bottled water? 20 bottles of beer each day would leave little room for productivity, and holding a job.
They are addicted. Some people can drink infrequently or heavily with little craving. Others take a sip and can't stop for days. Those who are unfortunately struggling with alcoholism or other substance abuse issues are often in the throws of addiction because they were attempting to fill some other emotional void in their life. 6 to 20 bottles of alcohol a day would lead to near immediate alcohol poisoning that day https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/alcohol-poisoning/symptoms-causes/syc-20354386
I don't know that this is always true; people vary in how they respond to alcohol. I know someone functional who once claimed to be drinking about 18 beers a day, for example. But I'd want to check with some of the professionals who help people through rehab.
