Will I be blacklisted if I reject the offer?

I got an offer from Amazon in India. The recruiter sent me compensation details but I was not really satisfied. I requested her to let me know the team I will be joining and she arranged a call with the hiring manager. It's been 5 days since I got the email for compensation details for SDE-1. Hiring manager told me about the team, and also asked when I will be joining but I categorically mentioned I haven't accepted the offer yet. Next day, I got a call from Amazon background verification team and got some form as well. If I now reject the offer, will Amazon blacklist me? Also, I am moving for my Masters in US. Is there any way I can request for an intern or something instead in summers at Amazon since I already cleared Amazon bar for recruitment.

We interview people internally when they want to switch teams and many get rejected. You’ll most likely have to reinterview since the position will be in US and potentially for another team. If you’ve cracked the interview once it won’t be hard for you to do it again.

Thanks for the reply. Also, if I reject the offer, am I going to be blacklisted in the system?

I think it's a 6 month cool down, not 1 year.

You will not be blacklisted for rejection. Blacklisting is only if you accept and then renege. If you reject in fact the recruiters become more eager to get you and will keep pinging you. If you're not satisfied with the offer ask for a higher level or much higher comp.
