SpaceX lost a potential 2.3 billion in contracts yesterday. Now today the corrective action is they are going to start "random" drug tests. Those who don't know the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), you must have a federal drug free work place for fed contracts. They gave it to blue origin. Just as well the amazon money spout can keep that puppy alive for centuries to come.
But is Blue Origin’s goal to get humans to Mars? All I want is for that to happen. I’ll bet Bezos would just take the profits and ply them into delivering more Echo Dots.
Based on an interview with bezos he claims he wants to build the platform and framework to allow future entrepreneurs, the opportunity to create space startups by making rockets and delivery platforms cheaper and I assume he means by creating an ecosystem in space. He even alluded that it’s his ultimate goal—Amazon people please correct me if I’m wrong here—in terms of his legacy. So I think blue origin might be more ambitious than even Space X.
This is a rampant issue with the government overall though. Kind of the reason they can’t find good enough script kiddies to run metaploit or find their sql injections in their access databases. Can’t be a hacker without doing pot, or coke.
