As an engineer, some days I find it extremely hard to get a workout after work and chores at home(with 2 kids). I am wondering what folks with similar scenarios do? Do you somehow manage to get time or is there a good alternative ? A few things I try are use stairs instead of elevators, take a 20 mins walk at lunch time etc. Any other tips are much appreciated!
Wake up earlier. Make time for it. If you want it bad enough you will. :)
Keep a daily log of all your activities and how much time you spend doing each. The next day, skip the bullshit.
That’s too stressful!
Few colleagues suggested that getting out of the bed everyday at the same time helps. This forces them to stick to a sleep schedule. Keeping cell phone outside of the bedroom also helps :)
Also, preworkout is a magical thing if you need motivation. Highly caffeinated turn-up powder. That'll get you sweating and ready to gang bang some weights in no time.
“Gang bang some weights”? Jesus, how did you convince your parents to let you out of the house?
Relax and don't be such an asshole. It's an anonymous chat app not the fuckin' church. 😂
I force myself to workout most weekdays at 6pm. It gives you an additional burst of energy once completed that improves the last part of the day.
purchase a Peloton! love it and you can't say no when it's staring you in the face!
Go join Jcc right around the corner from you
Do the 7-minute workout or whatever, at the very least.
Check out on youtube Athlene-X's series of videos: sore in 6 minutes. Try full body workouts with little to no rest. Some 20min should get you exhausted. Preworkout is also a good idea especially for such short and high intensity workouts.
Do push-ups and squats at home. Get a pull-up bar to do pull ups + Jump rope, burpees. Do it whenever you get 15 mins time for yourself
