YouTube comp vs Google comp
Is it the same? In terms of pay and benefits? How competitive is the culture at YouTube?

Same. It's part of Google. I transferred from a diff Google team into YouTube, no change. Culture pretty great. Lot of fun people bc it's people who want to live in SF. Still a big office but not crazy large like MTV, so people are more social. Everyone attends the weekly happy hr

YouTube *is* Google It's not even a separate Bet or something, but fully absorbed and diffused long ago. They just like to keep it a separate brand externally, that's all. Pure marketing.

False. Into YouTube's buildings? You can go to all of them except the Creator Space in LA. I used to take the bus to YouTube and eat lunch there whenever I had a flight out of SFO
