Would you like to get rid of anything else while you’re at it? I’m sure we can find some bad apples in the military, judicial system, teaching profession and basically any other industry.
It's not a few bad apples though. You're more likely to be killed by a cop than a terrorist. I bet you also think that people who commit mass shootings are bad apples too, with no evidence of a widespread problem

I think the people that drive semi trucks into crowds in Nice, France, guys that walk into churchs and kill worshippers, people that shootup gay night clubs, and people that kill each other in Detroit and DC daily in poor suburbs don’t represent the majority of people that have similar skin or religious characteristics. And you’d be correct about being more likely to be killed by a cop than a terrorist. The number of terrorists relative to cops is microscopic. Similarly you’re more likely to be killed by a car than a cop.

I’d settle for accountability. Don’t let cops investigate themselves and clear themselves of wrongdoing. Have independent oversight, and zealously prosecute murderous individuals, regardless of whether they have a badge.
That’s a very dim view of the problem. Not all cops are bad and you do need cops to enforce the laws. Let’s start by punishing the bad cops with jail time and / or financial penalties. Too many of bad cops getting it easy. They should be held at a much higher standard.

There were several cops there. They were indicted but the District Attorney refused to follow through and they are on active duty now. It’s not rotten apples, it’s a diseased apple tree. They are not a “group” of people, they are part of state agencies and allowed the use of deadly force. Watch the video. Thanks
