Does anyone overtly display their wealth in the office? Have you seen positive or negative response from it? I.e expensive branded clothing or watches
Would be a little silly in many big tech companies. At Google, you probably walk past two dozen people every day who make more than double what you make... and if that’s not true for you, then your co-workers already know that you’re wealthy.
Seems silly in a workplace where principal engineers sometimes look like homeless guys
Lol... I have a bunch of watches I got from GEEK that look like panerai and other extremely expensive brands. Like 10k$ and up... Way up. I really like the watches... But the most expensive was about 40$. So I had a funny conversation with a person who was thinking I was far more flush than I am. So I don't got it... But still flaunt it!
Wearing high quality clothing doesn't necessarily equate to conspicuous consumption. If they drive a different car for each day of the week and talk loudly about where they sailed their yacht over the weekend, that probably counts
Kids with 2-3 you driving M4's
Anyone who overtly displays their wealth in the office I peg as a shmuck and someone I can easily manipulate. Someone who is truly wealthy has no reason to flaunt their wealth, it’s only the nouveau riche who are insecure that do so
In our geek culture you don’t see it much, but driving a Porsche or Tesla might be our equivalent.
I’m just an horology connoisseur, piss off
used to work with a guy worth 15mm but dressed like shit and drove a used acura. said his kids were burning all his money

Brother beaten severely as a kid. Doesn’t speak to dad at all now.
I say - have it, flaunt it. I have a protruding belly, and I proudly carry it around!
