$26 bn for death of Palestinians!
I feel like I have been living under a rock with staying in one single company for so long . I kept up with my skills / certifications , did different roles but obviously haven’t crossed 115k$ in TC . My role is TPM . I seriously think I am underpaid, in the wrong team and maybe my role is considered non technical has a lot to do with it. I also have a horrible boss , as I have questioned him several times on a lot of issues , and he gives me the same BS . Anyway , I just had to vent and I am super motivated by reading everyone’s input in a lot of topics and use it to bounce ship . I need all your help and input , I do feel TPMs roles will eventually phase out when companies start implementing SaFe and ither Agile methodoligies . What other roles can I pivot to with these skills ??

$115K is good for Chicago
GTFO of current company and join the FANG
Don't let it go to your head. The TC you're seeing on here is the top 10% at the top paying companies in the highest cost of living part of the country. 99% don't make 🌲 50. Hard truth: TPMs don't make shit just about anywhere, but especially not at ATT. And certs are as useful as toilet paper.
Certs are useful only for trainers. Useless for the rest.
Yeah, always ensure my gym trainer has them.
Location+skills dictates salary
Agree and not denying that .
Time to start interviewing with other companies. Start leetcoding if you want to switch to SWE
Yeah, I was happy w/ my TC until I joined Blind. The one lesson I learned, people who are hungry keep moving an increasing their TC. A lot of people I work with are content staying where they are. Moving is always scary.
I've always thought moving was exciting. More to learn, more ways of doing things, new people to meet, and 15+% TC increase every time.
I am hungry and lost . I want to move to product management .
I found I could get above $130k low-ball at somewhere in SF relatively easily, but I lost the appeal of the tech culture’s need to make more. More personal wealth or whatever. Do you really need that much more?
Plus 130k in SF is like 50k in most of the rest of the country.
Yes. Omg. It’s madness. It feels like throwing money away. Burning it!
You should see Albertson's TC....
I see this as a running joke around here ..the Albertsons reference .. is it less or more ??
Albertsons is just a meme because one guy from Albertsons was being a jackass for a week. Posting nonsense in every thread about how it’s dumb to work at FAANG.
