thinking about leaving current company for a new one and have stock vesting soon. New company wants me to start before the vesting day. I am cautious to put in my two weeks notice because my current company could just terminate me right then and there and I would lose out on the stock. I also can’t give my two weeks after it vests due to the start date at the new company. my question is what is the likilihood my current org will just terminate me when i put in my two weeks before the vesting date?
Not sure what TC means, but it would be a decent amount, low to mid thousands, not double digits though.
New comp would be double what I am getting now
We need the numbers, love
You will not regret starting your new job in retrospect, trust me!
Take the job, and take sick days in the other company until you are vested
Idk how it works if you start with being sick. I would just postpone the start and they something like family emergency 🚨
LTE5g means to take PTO in OP's existing company while really starting at the new company.
How’s anyone supposed to answer this with 0 details?
No one knows who you are. We can’t help without the numbers and details.
TC is 80k new TC would be 160k
TC here? TC at new job? How much stock is to be vested? How far away is the vesting period from the new company proposed start date?
TC here 80k and TC new job 160k to be vested is $3500 vesting period is a week from the proposed start date
I wouldn’t jeopardize $160k for $3.5k
Ask the new company to cover any loss in the sign-on bonus.
TC? And how much in stock would be be giving up?
