Democratic primary is a cluster fuck

TuneIn MguA76 Mar 19, 2019

This guy definitely lacks the polish of seasoned politicians. But UBI is kinda inevitable, in one form or another.

Twitter Oomnj OP Mar 19, 2019

That’s what the communists will have you believe

Intel yhgth Mar 19, 2019

Never understood why people think UBI is inevitable. Computing has advanced 1 million x in our lifetimes and unemployment has never been lower.

Lyft doggoo Mar 19, 2019

The irony of UBI is if you roll it out to soon you’ll shoot yourself in the foot and will eventually won’t be able to afford it And have to roll it back. Really any kind of over the top social spending that’s not based on realistic income

Amazon lolwhat Mar 19, 2019

I don't get it. What's wrong with what he said? And how is it funny? In fact, we must celebrate the fact that for the first time in history we have a candidate that's openly atheist. This is huge.

Intel yhgth Mar 19, 2019

Why is it huge?

Amazon lolwhat Mar 19, 2019

Nobody ever dared to do it. It's a shame that people of color, minority religions, women, or even all three (Ilhan Omar) were able to win elections before anybody had the courage to run being openly atheist. That's how backwards our voters are. But finally, he's breaking ground, after several dozen closeted atheist presidents and a huge number of closeted atheist senators and congressmen. I mean, come on, do you think Obama or Bernie believe in God? Of course not, but neither had the courage to say so.

Google vcxP76 Mar 19, 2019

“I believe in science” is a new idiotic leftist religion.

Lyft doggoo Mar 19, 2019

Yeah it’s definitely stayed as a religious faith. Honestly I think a civilization needs to collectively remember and double down on the Enlightenment principles of critical thinking deductive and inductive reasoning

I think he is trying to use a vocabulary most voters would understand.

Amazon TylL45 Mar 19, 2019

UBI? No thanks. “Need” now means wanting someone else’s money. “Greed” means wanting to keep your own. “Compassion” is when a politician arranges the transfer. -Joseph Sobran

So fucking true.

Cisco SLmG30 Mar 19, 2019

I mean it's all well and good to believe you don't have any responsibility to maintain the civilization that allowed you to be successful. I'd call that greed any day of the week.

Intel yhgth Mar 19, 2019

The pitch on UBI sounds v similar to someone telling me how blockchain is going to rule the world.

I wonder how many of us Blinders can even vote while being so worked up by American politics.

It’s fun to laugh while the oceans die

Twitter Oomnj OP Mar 19, 2019

I thought the oceans were rising?

Apple 867530nine Mar 19, 2019

They’re rising and acidifying from absorbing so much carbon. That attacks the most basic bottom level food chain that helps keeps much of the rest of the food chain alive and also producing at least 1/4 of the oxygen we breathe. Visibly the coral reefs are dying right before our eyes. That’s easy to observe. But the oceans are indeed dying in the way we understand them. Good news for the rise of slime and jelly’s. Not so good for everything else.
