how many years does senior associate to vp promotion take if strong performer? what’s a good argument or helpful facts to not just wait around for beaurcracy
Brown-nosing your bosses helps a great deal, especially at JPMC.
So accurate
It takes as long as you need. If you are a real strong performer, 2 years is the avg period. 3 to 4 if you are just average.
HR requirements are at least 3 years total as an associate. Everything depends on org tho
Basically a good rule of thumb is you need to demonstrate you are already performing at a VP level for a solid 6+ months
It's really hard to get promoted at Chase. It's easier to leave and come back as vp
I’ve seen Assoc promote to VP within 18mo. Promotions typically require ED sponsorships. All promotions are put forth in front of a board and are voted/debated. If you don’t have a sponsor that’s an ED in the room to bat for you, it’s hard to get.
There is no defined timeline. Basically they BS about when they cant give, for ex- you are star performer but not acting at VP level yet or there are others that are waiting in queue since years etc etc.. comes down to what you are expecting from a promotion? If its money then you shd get it somewhere else.. I have heard promotions are like 10% sometimes which is waste of time and efforts.
