I thought the number of h1b application of chinese and indians are similar...
Yup...
And why you thought so? China is hardware and India is software so it is not so surprising to see high H1B for software
similar population. And chinese students are almost two times of that of the Indians...
Chinese people will go back to China. Indian people stick around and apply for H1B
Most of H1b application are from Indian consultant company ICC and their candidates does not even have a US degree
Working in the US is not the ultimate goal for Chinese students. It’s the opposite for Indian students.
2.1M H1B applicants from India over 10 years, assuming even half of them are unique applicants that’s 1M. No wonder green card backlog is so massive.
And they are crying country cap is not fair and all gc should go to them and their family. Finally the US become United states of India.
Here is the US, not India. Your suggestion is nothing. While there are more and more Indians in China now, I won't say similar thing like going back to India to them.
Notice that all other countries numbers decrease every year? People from self-respecting nations are slowly abandoning US as an option. The idiots who invented the lottery probably thought it gives everyone an equal fair chance, I wonder how they like what they are getting now.
How is it even possible, the H1b cap is 85k?
Who?
Multiple applications by Indian consultancies
You mean, like, fraud?
No you can have multiple ppl working for the same company apply for the same role on the client side or have multiple applications at different clients for the same person. Both are perfectly legal practices.
