8 YOE PM TC 175. want more time off tho. amazon can be a meat grinder
Dont get unlimited PTO, you ideally want 20-30 days PTO. Unlimited usually people are pressured into taking fewer PTO days, and when you leave they don’t have to pay you your earned PTO days
What company gives 30
Chase gives 30 between PTO (20) sick (5 or 7 I think), personal days 3, 1 volunteer day
Square is like 5 weeks iirc
Unlimited PTO is scam🤣🤣
Unlimited vacation is a trap
VMware
As everyone said, unlimited is definitely a scam. Folks with unlimited PTO actually take same or less days off as folks without unlimited.
As others were saying unlimited pto is bullshit My current company had a pto policy with certain days rolled to next year - so what happened is I found myself multiple times with like 6-7 days that wouldn’t roll - so end of year I usually either took a winter vacation or worked 4 days a week for a month or two which was great Moved to unlimited pto - and it’s gone ... So yeah there’s always that one guy that uses it to take a month vacation almost - but then even he then grinds the rest of the year. It’s pure bullshit
Zillow has "unlimited" DTO.
What’s DTO?
Discretionary time off. Basically to be discussed with the team and discretion of manager. From what I ve seen, most managers reasonably approve leave.
Honeywell has unlimited vacation and I call bs on the concept. Still have to enter into the system, so it’s being tracked. Instead of entitled number of days, you have to worry about each day you take off. Very stressful
Umlimited paid vacation is a myth
