what do you do after getting rejected at a company?

got rejected from Palantir 🙃. think I’m maybe going to go out for a burger and a beer today, get my mind off things. then assess what went wrong and study more. what does everybody else do? TC: peanuts

Meh. Part of life and you don't dwell on it. Don't beat yourself up on what went wrong unless you can easily identify and improve generally weak areas.

Thanks, Oracle. It was hard not to beat myself up, but looking back, I’m grateful for the chance to learn and improve for the next time!

That’s the right thing to do. Review with others and get back up. happens to everyone.

Thanks, Intuit. I’ll keep grinding.

I ask out a hot girl I always wanted to ask but didn't coz she was out of my league. That way I club the rejections and one rejection confuses the other..😎

So add the pain to where you can't feel it anymore?

Did it ever work out well? I mean were you ever able to get success there so you could forget the rejection?

I had a FULL BLOWN PANIC ATTACK

Solid advice thanks

Smoke 🚬, spit on that company, sleep and prepare for next interviews.

Don't worry about it at all. I know it's easy to say. Even I was fretting badly on getting rejected from Palantir and a couple of more companies. On positive side, I got rejected from Palantir but got into Google two months later. Keep working hard. You only need one good day, one offer. After that, none of the rejections will matter.

Thanks for inspiring me. This kind of stuff keeps me going. I really do love that ending: “You only need one good day, one offer. After that, none of the rejections will matter.” I’ll keep working hard for that one good day; I really hope I make it.

Like other said, don’t worry about it. Be proud that you are good enough to get a chance to interview there, and move on

Thanks, Raytheon. I’m grateful that I got to the onsite; I hope I get there one day.

Try to analyze what went wrong and how you could've done better. Keep interviewing with other companies so that you either get an offer or get a better analysis of where you lag behind. Interviewing is a skill in itself. It's okay to feel low when you don't get an offer, but you'll probably have 30 more years to go in your career. 1 or 2 years here and there won't make a huge difference in the end. Just try to always be improving.

Thanks for keeping the long-term view in front of me, and for the advice. I was/am feeling panicked because I’m still fairly junior and I’m seeing everyone go to FAANG (on Blind). I hope I do have 30 years to go for my career. I just have to keep working hard. Hope I’ll make it one day. The more I prepare, the luckier I’ll get.

Learn from the experience. Walk through your interview and think what you could have done better. Also don’t get upset or anything like that as we are all getting rejected periodically.

Thanks for the advice. Yeah, I was upset initially. But now looking back, I’ve got a lot to be grateful for. I just have to keep grinding and staying thankful for the opportunities I’ve been given!

Palantir? Did you mistakenly mention that you operate with a basic set of morals, ethics or human decency?
