Got rejected in the most ridiculous way

I just got rejected after a video call with a VP at C3.ai. I feel really down right now. It’s mainly because they got my hopes up as they said I did well for the onsite (I also felt that way) and destroyed me after a casual conversation with the VP. At no moment during the talk I think I messed up.
