Nike is infamous for poaching from other big companies, however, they do not invest in their employees. Career advancement and opportunity is non-existent and management is a good ole boys club. You don’t get get promoted because Nike only promotes during reorg else you have to just Apple for a new role if you want to make it to the next level. No in role promotions at Nike. Nike is a system based on favoritism so you’ll hear a lot “own your career and build your board of advisors”. Also known as people with hiring power that can hire you for future opportunities. It’s not a company based on skill and talent.

See end of poll for other companies and unemployed option. Clarification: second-last option (some other company, none of the above) is for non-tech and non-finance companies, e.g. Coca-Cola, Nike.
