#tech Example : SEAGATE TECHNOLOGIES Before interview : Recuriter says expected compensation will be met, then she doesn't even schedule. After 1 month, another recuriter reaches for the same job id, says expected compensation will be met, she doesn't schedule. Then in the next week, 5 recruiters ( not from Seagate, reach for the same role, each say expected compensation will be met, none of them schedule ) After 3 more weeks, an email comes asking for available time slots, I fill in the slots. Interview : #tech Interview 1 : Systems, he is nice Interview 2 : Coding and projects, she is nice Interview 3 : 3 interviewers, each of them is condescending, rude, and they are rude towards each other as well. One of them drops midway while I answer his question. The other two discuss what the first one was actually asking. I notice they expect an answer about CPU. I tell them it's not even necessary to have a cache and I explain what they asked. They laugh that how can you have a CPU without a cache. Then the one who left in middle re joins and both of them tell him "this guy is telling there is no cache in CPU". I stay silent. Interview 4 : The manager asks introduction, projects, and some behaviour questions. After 20 minutes, he says, Seagate won't be able to meet your expectations in terms of salary, if you are still interested in taking your candidature further, do let me know. I told him I have already communicated my expectations. He says, "why you applied to Seagate", I said I never applied, I was approached and I was asked slots and I was told my all recuriters that expectations will be met. He says if you are interested in the work, we can have rest of your interview. I say No thank you, he says think it through. I say No thank You, he says "you are lucky to earn this much despite being from a useless college, you should be thankful". All interviews lasted same day, first and second lasted 3.5 hours, third 1.5 hours, and last one 45 minutes. Current YOE: 10 TC 70LPA #tech #india #interview
Why recruiters gotta be condescending ? I interviewed in Informatica for a support role. There was some confusion. The requirements they asked for was a developer job so was the designation, as software engineer. I cleared two rounds asked my doubt about position and was sent to HR. He explained to me how i was lucky t9 interview for them and based on my. College i wont get a job this high paying. Pay was 9lpa. I was almost fresh out of college 6 months. It demotivated me a lot.
Just interview with them again in an year and say that the company is lucky to interview you. Don't be silent, don't let them move on
