How's the process/format? Phone screens? Loop? Difficulty relative to Amazon? What do they like look for in interviews (technically and non-technically, like leadership principles)? Trying to help a friend land a dream job
HBO is strongly geared towards senior engineers...they like to hire them...and there is no growth beyond that.. Think of HBO tech team as big IT department. They are treated as such. Questions wise: Regular Leetcode questions will do...since they hire senior engineers they ask some design questions too.
The same job at Netflix would qualify as a dream job, perhaps.
Appreciate responses? He really likes HBO as a product. Was only looking for interview expectations :P. I'll take what I get though
I went through a loop. Was told they only wanted senior (which I am). It was such an easy loop that I declined. I thought it spoke to the level of talent there.
I know a person who went there, and that also spoke to me to the level of talent there in a similar way. I also know another person who went there earlier, but he's already left.
@Oolong what's your experience? Years? Level? Need to be able to gauge relative to myself where that would put my friend
Didn't they outsource their streaming platform to the same guys who do espn and other streaming? So what sde work is left?
Is a job in hbo a dream job?
Of course it can be for some people. It will be boring if we all share the same dream.
