It’s a pretty good offer for 3 yoe, probably near the top of the band for the Software Engineer level. For any more, you would probably need to get SSE offer. If this is their first offer, you should ask for more joining bonus, around 3-4 lakh.
Team looks a-bit suspect though, is it a more DevOps oriented role onboarding services or will you actually be writing libraries/frameworks to improve backend service performance? Clarify with your hiring manager. Ask for more details.
I did have a discussion with the hiring manager its a backend team which focuses on the aspect that the performance of the linkedin services dont degrade in performance and they have a lot of tools built around that for the same. Its not a devops team, its a distributed system backed engineering team. This is the insight that i received from the hiring manager. However if someone from linkedin can help clarify that would be a lot better.
