https://www.theinformation.com/articles/brex-is-burning-17-million-a-month-raising-questions-about-future-growth Could this be one of the most overrated startups ever? What are your thoughts?
I still remember my system design interview with brex. I was interviewed by a "senior" engineer with 5 years of experience. This was very awkward conversation.
Paywall. Do you have a link or can you copy paste
WeWork is the most overrated
I almost joined Brex and for years I regretted going to something other place instead. I had an offer but pursued cool tech over finance. In a way, hearing they're in trouble gives me peace of mind.
Survived the layoff but I wished I actually was. Donβt see much positives for the company.
Run for the exit
My first interview for an EM role. The manager interviewing me asked if I can come in and do pips.
Before making light of the situation, please appreciate that both current and former Brex are hurting, we are anxious, we are scared, we are angry and every emotion in between. Those of us βluckyβ enough to remain are facing enormous workloads under the constant gun of being next to let go. And of course, above all else, we are extremely worried for our colleagues and friends who were unceremoniously kicked to the curb with the minimum of minimum severance in a very challenging job market.

Why would anyone think loaning money to startup is a good idea
they donβt loan money. they give debit cards not CC. i always perceived them as an affiliate marketer tbh. lead generation for partner products. also they cancelled all startup accounts like 2 years back. enterprise only since then
We didnβt cancel startup accounts, we cancel small businesses account. Startup is still critical to Brex
