I passed my FB TPM onsite (i think). However they want a follow up interview to get a clearer signal on leveling. I got some clues from my recruiter, what questions should I expect? TC:305 YOE11
Someone asked me a similar question on chat and here's my responses: Conflict Resolution : pick examples where things were hard. Show how you dealt with the other person with empathy, but used data and objective arguments. Ideally with people who were your peers or above. Also have examples were you failed and had to walk away. Ambiguity : examples when you have done things that didn't come tops down and you had to go figure out what to build, etc. How u used historic data, research, competitor analysis, etc. to build the usecase. Influence without authority : convincing another org that you had dependency on but it wasn't their top priority. Different things you tried including formal and informal structures, clean escalations, home/away team models, getting them headcount, etc. For everything, have good examples for success and failures.
Oh cool. Thanks for the detailed explanation! It’s perfect!!
Thanks coinbase. m interviewing too. Can you specify examples of informal structures
Hi, can I Dm you. I have a interview coming up with fb for a TPM role.
Sure….
Please share your preparation strategy for TPM at FB. Any pointers or best practices? Thx!
There are plenty of threads on this. I think there was one recently where the person shared details well.
