Where are you located? Hcol? That's a good offer for cap1 senior manager. I'm starting a Director role there soon and my packages wasn't much more (remote/mcol) Your bonus and rsu numbers look like max and not target for band, is that correct? Also Your bonus pay out while prorated will be there in 2023...ask for more sign on to compensate.
Location is the DC/Northern VA area. HCOL, but not as high as NY or SF. Recruiter said no stock/RSUs for 2023. But there will be a prorated bonus (updated the post). If I pass on sites for AWS and Uber, offers will likely be much higher. Wondering if being pushed up to a Director role makes more sense considering inflation, etc.
Ok that makes more sense. Yeah you get the RSUs but they take a year to vest the first 1/3 so no payout in 2023 technically. I asked for and received more sign on to compensate for that. I'd double check the target amounts for bonus and stock with the recruiter. I've heard it's very hard to get the highest perf rating which would give you the full payout that you provided. Still a good offer though, congrats
So 330k at CapOne (not counting sign on)?
Yes
Technically it isn't 330k, the target band for cash bonus is ~23k for Senior software eng mgr and stocks is ~35k for stocks - of which only 1/3 vest in the first year. so up until the 3rd year you won't be getting 330k. Realistically the 1st year(2023) comp if you join in August is 240k + ~10k CB + 50k JB. 2024: 247k + 23k + 12k stock 2025: 255k + 23k + 24k....
The Bloomberg retention offer will likely be higher than the offers you have right now, to be perfectly honest.
Thanks for the info!
Cap 1 gives stock now? Or is that only for senior manager+?
They do. Check levels.fyi for more info on who gets it.
Manager level and above
That offer from Crowdstrike is great. That's like 400k including sign on? I thought their yearly bonus was only 12%, how did you get 50k? I would complete all the on-site though
Thanks. Sign on is actually 20k (updated it. Was a copy/paste typo before). I told the recruiter that I needed a higher base/bonus because of competing offers.
But the yearly bonus for senior software engineer is only 12% how did you calculate 50k based on that. It should be 24k?
how come u interview for both eng and mgr ?
I have TL experience. Needed to be bumped up to mgr. because it’s higher comp.
