Invested in the following stocks when they were hovering around their lows and got some great gains in my 401k (up by 67% YTD). Not to mention the awesome dividends these stocks pay. This was the first time I played with individual stocks instead of ETF in my 401k. Home Depot (HD): purchased at $280 BoFA: purchased at $28 Verizon: purchased at $31 Target: purchased at $112 Walgreens: purchased at $22 Pfizer: purchased at $27 Capital Southwest Corp (CSWC): purchased at $17 Top watchlist for next buys - 3M (MMM) - Unilever (UL) What are some of your top dividend picks?
Good for you!
Outside of 401k META has been the top performer. Especially after the big refreshers we got in Feb.
A dividend is just a business returning capital to the investors. You don't really earn money from it. The value of the business is adjusted based on the dividend. The dividend is cash flow when you can withdraw from the account
I buy VT instead of wasting my life cosplaying as a stock analyst

What kind of 401k plan you have? I have from Fidelity and don’t see option to select individual stocks :/
My plan allows me to use BrokerageLink connected to 401k. This is on Fidelity. Within BrokerageLink I am able to buy individual stocks.
