Wyoming: 87 South Dakota: 101 North Dakota: 109 Alaska: 114 West Virginia: 124 Nebraska: 145 Montana: 173 Hawaii: 175 New Mexico: 237 Vermont: 256 Any reasons why these are significantly lower than any of other states (except population). Are these states successfully implementing quarantine or lockdown? #covid-19 #coronavirus

Population of NY is 10 times of New Mexico's, but total cases in NY is 300 times that of New Mexico. Obviously population density plays a major role, but will it create this big difference?
NY was hit the earliest and hardest because of popularity in tourism, etc. Federal social distancing guidelines came a lil later. New Mexico (or most other states) will (hopefully) never get as bad as NY
Mostly population. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_states_and_territories_of_the_United_States_by_population . The 10 you mentioned are literally amongst the bottom 15 populated states of the country
Absolute population number doesn't really play a role in the beginning but density does, the spread happens through clusters. It's also just a matter of time, if they don't implement serious measure then the virus will spread quickly.
I would say travel through those states might be limited (small airport), flyover country.
Yes. Most of those are fly-over states. So practically nobody visits them and also population there is scarce. Everyone’s home address is: “ 0000 in the middle of freaking nowhere”
What's Wyoming?
They also just don’t test 😂
