2.3 GPA and Google just asked for my transcript...

Killed it in the interviews, did team matching, all three teams were interested. I have worked my ass off since college and now my packet is about to go through HC. Then the recruiter asked for my transcript, says it's just what they have to include if you have graduated in less than 3 years, never mentioned any kind of GPA requirements. TC: 92K

How did you graduate with that gpa? I thought most universities need 3.0

New
CAiL87 Apr 23, 2020

For masters yes, for undergrad it's usually 2.0

Cloudflare ComeUp Apr 23, 2020

2.0 is a C average, which is what is required to graduate. If 3.0 is the requirement, many would not graduate especially in STEM majors at top tier schools.

Won’t matter if your interview feedback is good

TripActions Liqdo3a Apr 23, 2020

They will send you back to school to get better grades.

How did you grasp the fundamentals of CS with a 2.3 GPA? Or have you grasped them?

Northrop Grumman qnDJ10 OP Apr 24, 2020

6 months of leetcode baby

New
Psynaptic Apr 24, 2020

Ok. Yeah, that seems right, 6 months to catch up on things missed from a 4 year degree. Should be enough and then some to get very specific knowledge on problems.

They have been researching on whether GPA correlate with work performance, so they are just collecting it to get more data points.
