Just a statement… It drives me nuts when I see companies that let go of hundreds or even thousands of employees over the summer or fall kick back into hiring again full of sassiness, marketing themselves as a “great place to work” even landing on lists (I get it they pay for them). There needs to be a employee brand false advertising black list for companies.
That’s what Blind is for
Only one that seems not to incur in this bad habit is Apple.
Hey Riot, my LoL account was permabanned around 3 years ago, is there a chance you can lift the ban? Cheers
No. Sorry.
They are different roles. The layoffs are a reversion from non-tech to tech roles. Only 5-10% of those laid off so far were SWEs according to reliable analyses, look it up. Even Twitter has not stopped hiring SWE roles.
You are delusional if you think Applied science, research science, data science, product manager etc are non tech roles, or that they haven't been laid off. Also, why is it ok for a company to layoff non tech folks because of their strategic mismanagement? Tech or non tech, what these companies are doing is unethical.
It’s ok for them to lay you off for any reason. They don’t owe you a job (except maybe google, they are welfare)
I feel ya. What worries me the most is this becoming a norm in the future if it isn't already.
Lol what, should they say that they’re a terrible place to work for? And blacklist? Are you kidding? Many people are begging to get a job rn. Maybe we can try that when the Fed prints trillions again
I think they should have a little humility. Yes go ahead and hire some people but layoff bragging about how great your company is. Don’t try and trick “A” players into joining your “C” team company.
OP, are you like 24yrs old or something? Do you read what you’re writing before you post? I’m genuinely curious because you have this adorable naïveté that I lost around that time myself. If you graduated college prior to 2010, dude, try to remember back to how much that sucked. If you graduated pre-pandemic, try to remember how much April, 2020 sucked. Have some humility and common sense man.
Who you talking about? No one I know is that way yet

Only credible place I've relied on for company insights is Glassdoor
Microsoft seems to have done it again today. Around 10k I believe.
