im starting at G in a month in Boston (temp office) /Cambridge (long term office) . im relocating with spouse and 2 little kids. trying to make final decision on which daycare and it depends on what G’s benefits are. there is an option i would prefer, but its more expensive. at FB, we have - $3000 reimburse for childcare - $5000 you can put in FSA (est savings $1500) - free membership w care.com - back up days with bright horizons specifically wondering about the top 2 or anything to offset the cost. dont want all the new TC going to that. argh
Ask Google HR, lol. It’s their job to give you that information.
You should ask the recruiter. They should be able to provide accurate info. (never needed these benefits so I don’t know off hand.) P.S: i did ask my recruiter about benefits (transit, health, etc) prior to signing the offer and was given a bunch of very helpful docs about them
Thank you. I did ask recruiter and she’s not being helpful, so much so that she looped in my hiring manager, which I wish she didn’t. I also emailed the candidate alias a week ago and no response. I’m surprised
That’s strange. I don’t see how the HM needed to be looped in. (The manager likely wouldn’t be able to answer these any better.) someone from HR or benefits would be. Here’s my personal take. (0) The lack of easily-search-for info regarded such benefit implies it doesn’t exist. (1) The recruiter is too busy or doesn’t want to go the extra mile to find out, so she used the HM as a way to hope you’d stop asking questions and just sign the offer. How important are those? If I were you, I’d probably make my decision assuming they don’t exist.
