Finance friend is looking at exits, they have 3 yoe in FP&A. What would be a realistic but good TC that they should be targeting?
For true FP&A, even FAANG won't exceed the lowest option in your poll
This is false
Give an example then 🤷♂️
What city?
3 YOE in finance, I’m in six figure, not a FAANG company. So, it’s possible to target 120K. Anything above is ridiculous.
I mean it depends. If you are IB then the lowest option is possible. If u 3 yr in and just tryna be a Sr analyst, only faang can get you the lowest option
Thanks for the answers! They’ve mentioned they have seen offers going up to around 160k for strategic finance positions while more traditional budgeting and forecasting positions seem like 120k
A 160K strategic finance position with 3 YOE is going to likely be somebody coming from investment banking or consulting
Ty
FAANG can easily get you at the top end of those ranges, but (obviously) with the trade off of A) working in a high COL city like SF or NYC and B) Actually getting a job offer in the first place
What would base be?
Depends on level but $110K - $120K for a L3 wouldn’t be far stretched
I am in FP&A with 3 yoe as a Sr. Financial analyst and my base is $130k. I am based in the Bay Area
Thanks for intel. What’s your RSU/bonus look like and are you at Stanford health care?
No RSU or bonus for me. Only managers and director get bonus. Yes, I am at Stanford Health Care and the work culture feels like any corporate company.
I’m at 1.5 YOE $160 TC ($115k Base) (not at Dropbox lol)
