I haven't seen that many layoffs in my career. Economic environment doesn't look as bad as the 2008 crisis. It's not like companies are all falling apart these days. #layoff #severance
2008 was much worse - you have no idea if you haven’t lived through it
So how many years before the job market started looking good then?
About 2 years, that’s when ZIRP came to be. Not gonna happen this time around unfortunately.
All these companies are about to be disrupted by AI and are try to get while the gettin’s good.
Wage suppression is the name of the game. All these big names laying people off are doing just fine—record profits in many cases! Read up on past salary fixing lawsuits. They may have wisened up from having actual agreements but they are absolutely working to reel in prices. Microsoft is the key case. Record revenue, but laying people off and refuses raises due to “market conditions”
Yeah some even did rehiring right after rounds of layoff, what kind of shitty strategy was that.
DM me for referral
Layoffs are needed in order to adjust to mass hiring in a time of zero interest policy. ZIRP is over and so are the hugh headcount demands of big tech.
Traffic cleared up nicely during the original dot com bust. This is nothing.

A lot of useless "work" is being done. Especially by middle management.
