Will India exceed the number of COVID cases in the US?
The exponentially growth in there does not seem to peak#covid-19
Don't worry the deaths per million will always be a tenth of the US. I think that's the number that actually matters
I think total number of cases just tells us the magnitude of overall impact of Covid over time. I don’t know why more emphasis is not laid on active cases. Probably because it doesn’t capture the attention and doesn’t get the clicks.
It probably already has surpassed the US. Testing and surveillance is probably so sparse outside of the cities
Our Bangalore office have been shut outside of a couple critical personal. I would say they already surpassed us but testing is lacking.

How come? Better health care?
I’m sure there are many top tier doctors and hospitals but at this scale I doubt everyone is getting good healthcare. I’d wager more on differences in virus strain and also potentially better immunity levels from relatively higher exposure to diseases in general. Compared to US, avg age and obesity rates are lower - maybe that plays some role. I’m not a doctor but just speculating.

Me too. It’s not that one person will make wonder, otherwise he would have done already. It’s people who are spreading it.
Testing is lacking. Government not done anything credible to control the covid cases. Diya jalo, thali bajao etc..Go Corona Go..
Interesting, so wasn’t full lock down for about a month meant for that? India is making more medical supplies including masks to support people there. Tell me example that any other country, with such huge population and infrastructure handled it? But I am sure you won’t have answer
Btw, for your very kind information, Thali and Diya was originally from Italy not from India. And it was meant to boost morals and unity instead of stopping virus.
