Used to have a very good healthcare, now a days high deductible plans almost pays everything out of pocket. Wondering which companies has the best healthcare plans? Intel has 4k+ initial 100% deductible and 6k+ for 10% deductible, after that everything covered by insurance. How does your company 100% deductible is in the poll and post in comments for more details of company, deductible, any benefits etc? Thanks #amd #google #meta #microsoft #apple #qualcomm #nvidia
None. All health care plans are borderline scams. The prices are just made up and even though you are responsible for the payments, you are not part of the namesake negotiations. It is the most absurd BS one has to deal with.
So true.
For the high deductible plan at Salesforce the individual deductible is 3600, 7200 for the family. I think it is up $600 for the individual this year over last. Large companies tend to have their own health plan managed by one of the insurance providers.
Snowflake deductible is $250 for PPO
My max out of pocket is $5k. The insurance ends up paying well over $50k/year for me
Op must have different plan than me. Single, 1600 deductible. 2240 out of pocket max
You have to combine deductible with premium. Most companies (including Intel) offer high deductible at low (or no) premium for the employee or an option for lower deductibles at a higher premium. You can choose what works for you.
The monthly premium also comes down to the same amount as the deductible. May be some small benefits, the premium plan almost ensures you pay that amount whether you use the care or not
Right. Which is why the high deductible plans are good. With the lower deductible you are going to pay regardless. With the high deductible you at least only pay for what you use. AND high deductible plans come with the HSA benefit, which is the best savings tool available out there. My first point is that you can't just compare one plans deductible vs another without also understanding the premium (which is the question you asked). My second point is that Hugh deductible plans are actually really good , which counters the implications that I read into your question with is that your high deductible plan is bad.
My single (no spouse/kids) deductible is $1600. Max out of pocket is $2400. They increase it every year. The tradeoff is probably make half what you do.
