Fiserv has been laying off all of its remote staff. In some instances, asking them to report to an office in 24 hours that they have never been to no matter how far. If they refused to report to the office, they were let go. This is a problem for many families as it’s fall break for many so school is out. There are also those that keep their kids at home to not pay for daycare. This was the most inconsiderate thing I’ve seen happen. Most of these people have been remote their entire career with Fiserv. The CEO push for an in-office culture has hurt morale. The company is already greatly short handed because of the resignations from rumors of returning to office. This has made work-life balance impossible. #Fiserv #layoff #layoffs #remote #remotework #FrankBisignano
Keep kids at home instead of paying for daycare? Who’s watching the kid and who’s working?
Found the incel
What does that even mean? I have (young) kids and can’t imagine keeping them at home for long periods of time while I’m working.
Definitely won’t consider fiserv for future empl
Given someone 24 hours means you want to layoff. That's what it means. It suchs that remote workers are targeted but imo its easy to target remote folks...
2 weeks ago I received an email on Friday let me know that I had to get back to the office on Monday. This is so low
That’s so shady. But it’s a classic layoff technique to avoid news of layoffs. IBM did it years ago.
It is very shady practices.
Can you elaborate? What did IBM do exactly ?
