401k vesting during notice period
#tech #ge #401k if my 401k vesting day falls during my notice period, Do I still get to run with my 401k with company match ? On similar lines , do I get my yearly bonus in #ge if 1st April(this is when #ge employees get their annual bonus) falls during the notice period or should I wait for the bonus to kick in and then put down papers?
Always wait to put it down until you get all the vests and bonuses you expect - cleared into your personal account. You are probably at will employee, so you can be fired at will. If your manager doesn’t like you for whatever reason he/she can just end your job the second you turn notice in. Especially if it’d save the company/their team any meaningful $$. If you have a hard deadline to start a new job… well you can always give less than 2wk unless your contract requires it.
But the new offer states that I have to join by the first week of March and I have accepted the offer because I did not have any other offer. How cN handle this situation.
