I’m currently looking to make a move into product marketing. I’ve been at a small edge & endpoint AI/ML company for almost a year. While I joined to grow and manage the channel, we’ve all essentially been assigned the roles of account executive, project managers, and whatever else dependent on the day the CEO decides where the wind blows. Among other things, it can be a toxic work environment at times. As part of my role, however, I’ve fortunately been assigned to take on product marketing for our security applications. Really found a passion for this and know this is where I want to make my career. In tandem, I’ve also realized I’ll need to make a move to fully focus on this. Any advice for being successful in obtaining a role here? I know product marketing will vary by company. Overall have 4 years experience in tech. Worked in healthcare IT, embedded AI, and fintech. Below are list of organizations that have caught my eye from a cybersecurity and big data perspective but really am open. Any advice is appreciated. Microsoft AT&T Salesforce Google VMware Crowdstrike Darktrace Trellix Palo Alto Networks Meta Oracle Amazon Resideo
I'm really late to the party but if there's a role at Resideo you're interested in, I can get your application in front of the hiring manager. Honestly, I don't even know if I get a referral bonus but I like having good people to work with.
