I have about $500K vested amazon stocks, which I accumulated during my time at the company. I’m trying to decide if I should sell amazon stocks and re-invest in something like index funds? My current employer is google and have equity from Google. I’m concerend to have majority of my equity tied to 2 tech firms. For context, I’m maxed out on 401K and after-tax Roth IRA and have a small portion in VTSAX. #stocks #investment #personalfinance
Sell and buy VTI
That’s what I’m thinking too
Sell all and buy Peloton
No
Just keep it forever. And thank me later. Be careful of capital gains tax if you sell😬
Sell before dems win and capital gains tax sky rockets :(
Sell your amazon RSUs that have vested over a year so capital gains from them would be considered long term. Hold the rest if you feel they still have room to grow. Not sure if index funds are a good bet at this point. Maybe a mix of that, equities and funds that can get you a solid (not ridiculous) returns
Give it to charity. Help fight income inequality. Be the change socialists want to see.
😂😂😂
I am in a similar situation and when AMZN hit 3550 I put in a stop loss order for 15% of my shares. The trade triggered at 3350. I am tempted to go back in at ~ $3100 because I am bullish on AMZN but there also are so many other opportunities that I don’t know what to do. I am leaning towards diversifying. Maybe even go into cruise lines and airlines. Those stocks are cheap right now and will come back once a vaccine is discovered.
I feel the same way about amazon that it will Grow even more. Good suggestion on cruise line and airlines
Buy the dip, tesla and nikola
Trying to stay away from picking individual companies

Tech companies to avoid as a white guy?
You should probably diversify 50 percent. That way you have minimized the risk and leaving 50 chance for profit. By the way when did you move to Google? TC please
