Thinking of getting a car and budget is around 50k. BMW: 3 series, X3 Audi: Q5 (2022 looks really good) Porsche: Macan?(Might be out of my budget) Any other recommendations? And please no buy cheap car and invest the rest. I am not going for FIRE and I don’t want to bring all my money into the grave. 4 YOE 300k Household 450k Living in a pretty cheap city Edit: No Tesla since I don’t really like there build and not really into autopilot.
Tesla?
used porsche?
I would suggest to do test drive and then make a decision. Some cars might not give you “that “ feel even if it’s a high end costly one.

I know you said no Tesla. But, I would still recommend at least getting it from a friend for a day and try driving it. Especially for highway, it’s a huge mind space saver once you get the hang of it. You don’t need FSD, just autopilot on highways is a time and life saver. Try it. Also, cost of owning is cheap especially if you only charge in office or at home. I have a model Y for little under a year and the car still makes me smile! 😊
I did drive it but I am just not that confident with autopilot. Also, their build quality is a disaster, my friend had to swap his car because the first one he got had some window issue. Another major issue is charging, not a lot of super charger around my city.
Yes, built quality was an issue for first two quarters of production. They have ironed out the kinks now. Plus Tesla will replace/fix any issues you can spot, service is first class. I could not work the horn since I was not used to it(you need to press pretty hard, not just tap). They sent out a remote service people 3 times just to explain it to me and make sure I was satisfied. $0 charge - I myself think I should have been charged for last 2 visits since there was no issue. Btw, I am a fanboy. But even my wife agrees it was the right decision and loves the car (she didn’t agree when we initially bought it - “toy car”, new company arguments).
