How is WLB? Do meetings end on time or do they tend to go over? Are they remote tolerant? I see a few positions that are remote tolerant but anything senior + seems to not be. To me this spells that there's no opportunity to get promoted unless you live nearby. What tech stack do they work with? Would you say the onboarding experience is friendly? Currently the onboarding experience (and the "how to" knowledge base in general) at my current company isn't maintained well. On average, how much of your job is actually coding and how much is communicating with other teams/waiting for other things to happen? Need more information before I can really decide whether to apply
Questions like this are for the interview it self. Applying is just uploading your resume lol
Why would I waste my time and apply to every company if an employee can't answer these questions before I apply? If they're really for interviews, I would be applying to a TON of companies I don't have interest in and wasting everyone's time.
WLB varies based on team but itโs pretty good generally. Check Glassdoor. Many teams are remote first (Iโm based in San Diego and my team mates are in Oregon, Maine, Utah, Florida, Pennsylvania, Georgia etc) My teams are node.js Onboarding is organized and friendly - check Glassdoor. Communicating with other teams is something we are trying to reduce (actually by using ChatGPT in part). Some of our feature teams spend most time coding but platform teams can have more comms.
Can i DM you for a referral still? I found a few openings.
Autodesk is awesome
