Just wanted to share my happiness here because I can't share this with people around me. With help of friends, collages, leetcode and blind was able to achieve my first milestone. I know it is not big amount compared to a lot of people earn here. But I just like to share my happiness. My family lives in small village in India. My parents are daily wagers and uneducated. I see, they were in debt through out their life, and sometimes they even struggle to pay the interests. But they always provided food for us(one sibling too). To lose some financial burden on them, they joined me in government hostel from 5th standard, which is free. From there on I was in hostel till graduation, and almost all of the education/food/hostel expenses is bore by the government. My entire education probably would have costed 15k inr to my parents. I have seen my parents struggle with money, so I became bit conservative about the money spending. I will buy only if it is functional and lasts longer. And open to buy expensive item to if it is absolute critical Here is my savings Year 1: -8lakhs(parents debt) (Joined in Infosys, TCS, HCL like company) Year 2: -6.5lakhs(company switch) Year 3: 2lakhs(took loan and paid off all the debt, loan EMI started) Year4: 8lakhs(Moved to one of the good paying Indian startup company) Year5: 28lakhs Year6: 60lakhs(Moved to Microsoft, India) Year7: 1.05Cr *Majority of the money is in equity at the moment I am planning to get married next year to the love of my life. She is not working at the moment but she is trying to be independent. My plan is to earn 4cr inr - 2crs(FD + Debt funds) + 2crs(Index funds) with house and decent car. Settle down in tier-2/3 cities in india. YOE: 7 TC: 65lakhs
You are killing it ! Congratulations on the first cr. Every story like this is worth cherishing.
28 -> 60 -> 1 cr .. how did you do that?
Very simple...WFH - I stayed with my parents and almost everything is cheap here compared to cities. Not much expenses at home too..
Congrats op
30L in crypto? How are you feeling?
Wow. The number of families lifted out of dire poverty by tech is incredible. Your parents must be proud. I hope they have managed to experience everything that they had to sacrifice due to lack of money.
Congrats op ..you are an inspiration
YOE 3 I have saved 22L corpus, 50% of it is invested in equity. How to decide proportion to be invested in equity?
You are young enough to do 80% in equity and 20% in FD/liquid cash/debt funds. You can be at this % split at least until you are 35 - 40.
Very happy to see you grow. King. You deserve to be happy. Take care of yourself and your family and enjoy life.
Very nice ,keep growing n be always humble :)
