What is the average salary for lead data scientist at 84.51?
Desperately wanting to leave Amazon and looking for something with better WLB. 84.51 seems to be a great company. Do you know what TC I should ask to not scare this position away? What does an average lead DS make there? TC: 230k
Im at 84.51 , quality of life is maxed out here but the projects can be slow, the people do not suck. Lead DS is probably taking in 140 base 12.5% merit bonus 5% match plus 1k hsa 1k bonus 401k match 5 weeks vacation & 1 week health and wellness. TC ~185k
What are y'all's locations!?
Most (maybe 75%?) are in either Chicago or Cincinnati, the rest are fully remote.
I'm currently a senior data scientist (one level below lead) and made about 150K total comp last year. I would guess lead would be maybe 10-30% more (so 165-195K).
