They are called "HENRY'S " which stands for "High earner not rich yet". Are you one of them? How is your spending? https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.businessinsider.com/high-earning-henry-millennials-six-figure-salaries-feel-broke-2021-6%3famp Edit: I wonder if some of you voting that you are "Henry's" possibly aren't as maxxing out retirement accounts and saving certain income percentages don't count. I feel this way at times but that's because about a 1/3 of my income is invested automatically. If you are a Henry please comment below. #tech #microsoft #amazon #google #facebook #uber #airbnb
Just wait for a "real" economic recession to hit. It will be ugly for these people, sadly
We need Henrys. They make the world go round.
When the government takes half my shit every year I feel poor
HCOL, business analyst, 2 kids, single income
I like to stash it in my 401k/Roth/mega/espp and feel poor when looking at my bank account lol. Then I don’t go buying dumb things like a 129$ oversized Bape shirt to wear over my moto gear for an Instagram pic lol. I will settle for a fake Gucci one instead lelelel
Agreed, honestly had a roommate that brought luxury items with his parents money and I on the other hand brought replica, couldn’t even notice the difference ever since then majority of the time I’m sticking to reps unless i have to pay quality for.
The key to being rich is never too much cash sitting around. I keep max 5k in my checking unless I have some big expense coming up.
🤔 tell us more. Stocks? 401K?
Also curious. My wife feels a lot of security with cash on hand. So just in checking/savings we’re over 140k. Also have investment account, maxed 401k + IRA.
What annual income/ net worth is defined rich in America?
Depends on location tbh. 150k in the bay? Not incredible. 150k in the Midwest or south? Living a very comfortable life (with exceptions). Also personal preference. To me “Rich” is when you’re free. No longer work for a paycheck and could live off passive income or investments if you needed. To someone else it might be food in the pantry. To others it might be a 300k car in the driveway of a 5 million house.
@MelGibson I like your perspective of rich!! 👏
Ya only make what ya keep
Pretty sure the order got efed up there^
Haha nah it’s an old saying from some finance book from the 80s (forget which one) - basically means if you just spend all your money you’re not getting ahead
Da fuck
