Whatโs the point of playing sports if youโre not gonna compete in the Olympics?
Has anyone here worked for JLL Technologies? Property tech looks interesting. Speaking with them for a product role- would to love to know your thoughts. Thanks! ๐๐พ #tech #product #pm
Hi ๐ did you end up joining?
No
Why?
What was the TC?
What was the location of the position and what was the position name
For anyone wondering about benefits and comp at JLL - I found out that equity is only offered at the top "L" band (leadership level) which will most likely require years of working at the company and big internal promotions OR you happen to lead a company that they aquire (JLLT has a VC arm called Spark). Even senior directors don't get equity because they are usually in the "M" level. However at the M band your PTO is unlimited.
I Interviewed for a product role last month the place is a bit disorganized managers don't seem to care about you based on my conversation. I went through five rounds of interview and decided not to move forward I have worked in real estate for 6 years before this in the residential side and although the commercial side is interesting I can't say that I think they are a good company to work for in tech.
I had the exact same experience in terms of the recruiting/ on boarding process. Highly unprofessional and disorganized. But the company itself once you get on the inside seems much better
Would love to know your experience since youโve started at the firm
I just received an offer and was wondering the same. Can someone throw some light on actual working experience there?
What role & Tc ? Maybe i can provide some insights
JLLT is new so there's been a ton of hiring in the past couple of years. With this growth, there's definitely been some growing pains. People say it's similar to a start up that is trying to scale, but has some advantages (or disadvantages?) of being a subsidiary of a very mature large parent company (JLL) - think resources/connections/firepower etc. There are some great people in the product and strategy teams within JLLT that are really doing a great job at pulling things together to drive some consistency. But keep in mind there's a great deal of specialized cross functional teams so to move forward it requires a great deal of communication/collaboration/alignment. Anything more specific I could help answer?
Yea how is the TC situation for technical roles? How do you attract people if you donโt offer RSU in Bay Area?
I'm not familiar with the tech roles. There are stock options for upper levels, I believe M5 and above? For reference, I was offered $190k salary $50k bonus $30k sign on (in MCOL location, non-tech role, 9 YOE)
I would say JLLT faces both the typical challenges of a start-up, as well as the issues associated with a mature company. For example, lack of foundation and processes but JLL expects JLLT to be able to respond as if we are just as mature.
Hi! How was your experience?
