Hi Deutsche bank Managers, What does HR tell you when you offer someone, but negotiation with HR failed because of salary? I interview the Deutsche bank team. I like the team and their project. The manager explained the project plan. After 3-4 rounds of interviews. I got an offer from HR. HR negotiations: I got an offer the with same TC that I am already making. I try to negotiate a salary with 15% increase. But eventually, it failed with HR. I refuse to accept the offer So I wonder what HR tells the manager? #engineering #software #swe
Deutsche Bank has bandings they need to stick with but more often than not it’s the manager who dictates the salary not the recruiter/HR. They base your offer on the bandings but more on what the rest of the current team is making and how you compare to them. If you did well enough to get an offer but they don’t think you are better than someone on a comparable salary in the team, they won’t offer above that level due to risk of them finding out and then resigning.
How's the tech at Deutsche? Is it a good place for making a career in software engineering?
I have a similar question: What should be the salary expectations for Principal Test Engineer in Deutsche Bank in Berlin? yoe: 11 yrs.
I’m sure the manager knows about the negotiations. HR is just the messenger. Salaries are from divisional budgets so it’s up to the manager to say yes or no to your demands.
OP how long did it take them to convey the outcome of the interview and make an offer to you?
Offered TC and YoE?
