I wanted to ask if anyone at Amazon knew how intern recruitment worked behind the scenes. For example, at apple the recruiter just sends your resume to hiring managers and they make the call. Is better for me as an intern to reach out to thing managers or recruiters to get passed the resume screen here? #amazon
Oh lol, it was just meant to be a question
If you know could you answer it?
I used to work at Amazon. I think most of our hires are from “target schools” who get offers from on campus recruiting events. My understanding is that they give prospective interns some online coding assessment and if you pass you get an offer. The coding assessment isn’t too bad and the prep questions can easily be found on leetcode. If you aren’t from a target school I imagine the hard part is more in getting the interview than passing it
Could you please provide the list of target schools or how can I find out?
Not sure there is a formal list. It would just be schools that have on campus recruiting events. I’m sure you could find some info about what company’s go to what schools career fairs with a bit of googling
