What happens when most of your team is Indian?
Are the openings real or put on hold ?
Probably real. Itβs all hands on deck for our org
All hands for what?
PiP more
Walmart does not pip .. its more like an adult day care facility :))
Yes I have heard of layoffs from an inside source coming very soon
Which team is this in? I see them hiring for SWE3 though
Not sure about specific team
My team is busier than ever.
you put walmart the same league as Tesla π
I worked at their Bentonville location as a contractor for a couple of years. The majority of employees were Indian, and I observed many individuals, particularly students with zero experience, being hired for contracting roles that typically require at least 6 years of experience to comprehend. Most of these hires were Indians recruited by Indian managers. I'm curious if the company is implementing any measures to cease hiring contractors and instead transition everyone to full-time employees with a starting designation of SWE 3. Additionally, there's a concern about valuable company tech and code repository information being shared externally through methods like remote screen sharing and control by proxies. I reported this issue to management, but amusingly, I was terminated later. (P.S. Currently on sabbatical, not working for Cognizant).
What about TCS, Infosys, UST Global? This is a post not for contracting, this is for full time employees on the layoff, lol
And I noticed multiple open roles, hiring aggressively
Yes itβs really weird they do have a lot of opening
May be moving roles to Low Cost locations... It seems like a new way of cost cutting
