Meta E5 Interview Follow up

I had a PS then Onsite, then a follow up. The follow up interview was way harder than any of my previous interviews Got asked 2 Hard LC questions with Follow-Ups. It was tough I answered both initial questions Gave the idea for on follow-up And finished writing the second follow up but re-used a lot of code for the if’s told him I would separate and re-use a function but didn’t have time to move everything outside my initial solution. I think it was TOUGH but tried my best Any indication if I passed or not I stayed in the call with the interview an extra 20 minutes just conversing. TC: 278 L5

That’s bad luck. All coding from leetcode tagged ?

Yikes most likely you did not pass :( if the follow up was more challenging you were more likely to have mistakes and a weaker performance.

The HM is just looking for signals on approach. If your code was clean, you should be alright.

If it was an E5 loop it’s not likely that the HM was the interviewer for LC follow up. It was a SWE. They are looking for speed, clean, quality code, and your ability to problem solve.

I already know which leetcode was asked as soon as I read about a lot of if-else clause. Fk that string manipulation question it is tagged as LC Hard and the comment section is full of people losing their mind. Nobody should ever be asked that question in an interview.
